Seaweed forests are vast, they cover a small proportion of our surface but they contribute in a really globally significant way to the bio geochemical cycles like the carbon cycle. In Operation Crayweed, we linked human health to ecosystem health. People pay as a recreational activity to restore seaweeds, that has and a direct benefit to their own health. It has the potential for tourism wellness and aquaculture. Join us at the Sunshine Seaweed Restoration Festival on World Oceans Day 8 June 2023.”
